I like the US stamp and cancel, tied by the Canadian Postage Due stamp and Ontario cancel.
Soldier's free mail. The recepient, Caroline Henderson was an American Icon during the depression. Her articles from Atlantic Monthly and letters, have been published as a book; "Letters From the Dustbowl" I have many postcards to/from her.

Now this postmaster was confused! Got 10 more cents in postage, needed 14 (in pen), asked for 2 (in red stamp) and for 3 (or is it a 5?) (small circle stamp.)
